On September 12, 2015, the BIBO Awards honored its FIRST BIBO Starlet in the Los Angeles area: singer, model, and fashion columnist, Alli Simpson. Born and raised in Gold Coast Queensland, Australia, she is the daughter of Angie and Brad Simpson. She is also the sister of famed singer, Cody Simpson, who recently competed on “Dancing With The Stars”.
As a model, Simpson has worked with fashion and beauty brands alike. These include Macy's, Delia's and imPRESS nails. She is also a popular fashion columnist and blogger that appeals to young girls with her down to earth vibe and positive energy.
Most recently, Simpson has joined the team at Radio Disney to host her own radio show "The Alli Simpson Show". This venture makes Alli the youngest nationally syndicated radio host ever. Alli's show focuses on the latest news, gabbing with all the biggest celebrities, and giving advice all the while taking calls from listeners on a wide variety of topics including beauty, fashion and school advice. Simpson is passionate about being a positive role model for young teen girls who are dealing with issues of such as personal insecurity. Coming from a close knit and supportive family, she loves to help others and give advice, having lent her voice to anti-bullying initiatives.
The BIBO Starlet category honors and celebrates young ladies (ages 13-23) who are already demonstrating success in role model, leadership, and/or entrepreneurial pursuits.
