Marlo is a leader in her community and provides training for and moderates to Neighborhood Watch Groups and Neighborhood Councils. She facilitates to community focus groups on building positive and trusting relationships between law enforcement and their neighboring communities.
Marlo Richardson is a Lieutenant with the Los Angeles Airport Police Division. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and a Minor in Public Administration from California State University, Dominguez Hills. She has been with the Los Angeles Airport Police for 16 years, 10 of those years were spent in a supervisory and leadership role. Her experience at Los Angeles Airport Police includes 7 years as the Departments Field Training Program Administrator, Training Unit Supervisor and Assistant to the Patrol Services Section Commanding Officer.
She is a local and international law enforcement instructor in various subjects, including: Tactical Communications, Responding to In Progress Calls, Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings and Prevention of and Response to Suicide Bombing Incidents.
Marlo was appointed by Governor Jerry Brown to the State of California, Contractor’s Licensing Board where she serves as the chair of Public Affairs and is on the enforcement committee.
She is also a part of the Empowerment Congress in Los Angeles County, serving as the chair of Public Safety and Justice for the 2nd District, under Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas; and is on the Committee for Professional Responsibility and Conduct for the California State Bar.
She is currently a Law Student at California Southern University.
In her spare time, she enjoys mentoring and inspiring others to be their personal and professional best.
