Lerin earned her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from Purdue University in 2002. She has since then owned, managed, and staffed several pharmacy settings and ambulatory care clinics throughout the Chicagoland area. Dr. Becton-Wooten has recently become certified in administering immunizations and critical care services while currently working on her HIV certification (AAHIVP). She uses her knowledge to educate her community on epidemiology, treatment options, and preventative care alternatives.
She married her fitness partner and the love of her life, Craig, in 2011. She has been a happily married woman ever since and therefore founded the Chicago-based company, Wife Kouture, LLC just four years later in 2015. Wife Kouture is a platform that she and other happy wives aggressively uses to promote, enhance, and celebrate healthy marriages (relationships) regardless of race, color, or creed. Lerin believes that healthy marriages should be celebrated continuously and not just on special occasions. She utilizes branded products, unique services, and special events geared specifically toward married couples, brides, and aspiring wives to achieve the mission for Wife Kouture. Wife Kouture is also used to promote wellness in women and wives through interactive seminars and symposiums because healthy wives have healthy lives. More information about Wife Kouture can be found at WifeKouture.com.
Dr. Becton-Wooten is also the co-founder of a non-profit organization named Leaders of Literacy, which was founded at the end of 2015. Leaders of Literacy is comprised of a group of professional women who formed a home based book club and later decided to promote literacy in public school adolescents and young adults. They also donate books to homeless shelters and halfway houses.
