A Real Estate Broker since 2002, LaShawn Brown Davis is dedicated to neighborhood and community revitalization. She serves Chicago neighborhoods as an education advocate, provides real estate advisory to community leaders and elected officials, and promotes Chicago's South Shore community through tourism, historic preservation, board leadership development, and educational forums. Also a home remodeler, LaShawn educates consumers and investors on renovation and value optimization.
She founded The Village Network, a non-profit organization to advocate for fair policy to address property value challenges in under-served neighborhoods with The VAR (Value After Renovation) Initiative, and through the Chicago Housing Expo, which is in its third successful year, as the most comprehensive housing event on consumer renovation, emphasizing "Don't just watch HGTV-Experience it. Organizations she has contributed to include The University of Chicago Office of Civic Engagement, The Black United Fund of Illinois, South Shore Chamber, Inc., The South Shore Docent Council, The South Shore Historical Society (re-establishment), and The Planning Coalition.
