Sheila Marionneaux has been with Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC), which operates the Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans in Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas, for 12+ years. As Academic Relations Consultant with HCSC's Center For Diversity and Inclusion she is responsible for the delivery of STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) Student programs and enhancing the talent pipeline across all of the five Plan states. Linking business leaders with STEM programs will aid effective outcomes of HCSC's corporate and diversity initiatives. Sheila’s end result is lifting the community, one student at a time.
Sheila has enjoyed a successful 25-year career in the fields of Communications, Public Relations, and Organizational Fundraising & Development, having worked for corporate and not-for-profit employers such as HARPO, Inc., WTTW Channel Eleven, CB Richard Ellis, Chicago Business Volunteers for the Arts, to name a few.
Sheila is also a media personality and part time news reporter with BCBSTX-TV, an in-house corporate news production. She's held numerous leadership roles on various boards and committees and is devoted to community volunteerism.
Sheila Marionneaux is a past president of HCSC’s BDPA Corporate Chapter, and received the 2010 Epsilon Individual Award for Community Service presented by National Black Data Processing Associates (BDPA) and WorkplaceDiversity.com. The Epsilon Community Service Award is presented to individuals who have demonstrated leadership in the technology community through volunteer work, contributions, and other activities that are not included in his or her job descriptions. Sheila remains a BDPA Corporate Champion at HCSC through today as an advocate of STEM opportunities for diverse, dynamic talent.
Sheila Marionneaux is a graduate of Columbia College of Chicago, where she studied Broadcast Journalism and majored in Public Relations. She has dual residency in Chicago, Illinois and Dallas, Texas and has two daughters.
